Penny Hutchings Class of 1967
In 1969 I married Guy Lowry, also a graduate of S.W. of 67. Shortly after that he was sent to Viet Nam for a year. When he returned we moved to Tacoma, Wa. where he was stationed at McCord A.F.B. Our first daughter Jennifer was born there. We were only in Wa. about a year when he received orders to go to the Phillippines. So off we went. What an experience!! For any of you that have been there, you know what I mean. Two years later we found ourselves in Maryland where he was stationed at Andrews A.F.B. Our second daughter Kim was born there. Hardly had time to change a diaper when we were being sent back to the Phillippines. Living in the P.I. was an education in itself. I interacted with the people of the islands learning their customs etc... Sadly to say that is where our marriage ended. Found myself back at "moms" house on 47th terr. and 108th ave. along with my two daughters. Time passed and I met Rick Markowitz. We married in 1978. Had a son in 1981 (Nick) and another daughter Jessica in 1982. We were married for 17 years of which time I was a stay at home mom. Sometimes I feel that it was a mistake staying at home but on the other hand I enjoyed my children, all their activities, and feel that all of them turned out just fine. Rick and I are now divorced and I am currently seeing someone from the southwest area. His name is Eric. We enjoy fishing. Life is good. I will write more from time to time, but for
now this should be sufficient to catch everyone up on my life.
