Barbara Turnham Class of 1967
I am presently living in Rochester,
Minnesota with my husband Ed (my date for our Southwest Senior Prom if anyone
remembers that far back), a horse, 2 dogs, and a cat. We have 2 kids, both
of whom got married in 1998 and also live in Rochester. I got my BA degree in
English from Bridgewater College in Virginia, then an MA from Ohio State
University. Since I was laid off from my tech writing consultant position
at IBM during the latest end-of-quarter downsizing, I am looking for a new job
in technical writing or Web development. While visiting my parents in Miami in
January, I stopped at Southwest to pick up a transcript and noticed that the
students now visibly wear their IDs, just as employees at security-conscious
high-tech companies do. Wish I'd had more time to note other differences!
